Children & Youth Chorales

The High Point Area Arts Council is once again sponsoring the High Point Children’s & Youth Chorales to provide young singers with an opportunity to perform high quality choral music in a setting that will encourage excellence in an individual and group effort. These choral groups are for treble voices (girls and boys) and will emphasize music from all periods of music in a variety of styles.

The High Point Children’s & Youth Chorales are directed by Carolyn Hall and rehearsals will begin on October 7, 2008 at the Arts Council's rehearsal space at 305 N. Main Street, Suite 222. Each Tuesday, the Children’s Chorale will rehearse from 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. and the Youth Chorale will rehearse from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. with the two groups rehearsing together for 15 minutes. There will be performance opportunities for the chorales throughout the school year ending with a concert in the spring.
