An Early Sneak Preview
We are certainly having some different music rehearsals than usual at HPCT these days. But boy are they fun! I just had to share a couple of minutes of music rehearsal #3 (Thomas's 1st rehearsal) for SMOKE ON THE MOUNTAIN.
We were missing the girls and our guitarist, Cousin Corey. I heared tell that Denise took off for the sin of the beach and June is gettin' her some edumication on Monday nights. Even worst, Corey is up in Yankee Land! But don't fret none, they'll be back with their family soon.
Make sure you mark your calendars now (May 14 - 17). This already promises to be a great show.

Call To Action
On Thursday, April 8th, the North Carolina senate, by a vote of 34-13, passed the second reading of Senate Bill 66 requiring a unit of arts education for high school graduation. Because the bill must have a third reading on Tuesday before it is sent to the House, we need for all advocates to send an e-mail message requesting support of the bill on its third reading.
ArtsNC has set up their Capwiz system to determine whether or not your Senator voted Yes on S66. Thus, Senators who voted Yes will get one message thanking them for their vote and asking for their continued support, and those who didn't will get another one expressing concern that they didn't vote in favor of S66 and asking for them to support the bill on its third reading.
